Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Can I use any nail polish?

For the base, you can use any color and brand you wish. However, for the stamping Nail Design itself we recommend you use Konad’s Special Polishes as it specially formulated to be much thicker then regular nail polish and made especially for stamping nail design purposes.

2. How long do the designs last?

Nail designs can last as long as regular nail polish. For best results and longer wear make sure you apply a top coat over the design.

3. I can’t get the design to transfer from the Image Plate to the Stamper, what am I doing wrong?

Don’t worry, sometimes the Stamper comes with a thin film when it is brand new. With the Scraper or a soft buffer gently over the surface of the Stamper a few times and wipe off with regular nail polish. We recommend giving the Stamper a quick wipe after each use just to make sure you do not get little pieces of designs/nail polish from the previous stamp as well as pieces of cotton. In addition, you want to complete each step as quickly as possible to reduce the chances of drying the nail polish in the image plate. (Konad’s Special Nail polishes are much thicker and stickier then regular nail polishes, but once the polish is on the image plate and the excess polish is scrapped off, it become a very thin layer and can dry quickly). Please don’t get discouraged as it just takes a few practices.

4. Design is on the Stamper but it won’t transfer to the nail or I just get a partial part?

Having a base (any regular nail polish or base coat) helps the design stick on the nail much better. Make sure your polished nails are clean, dry and oil free that means no lotion before stamping  another potential problem can be that the Stamper is not clean so make sure your Stamper is clean. Remember, you do not have to press down too hard, a gentle rolling motion to pick up or transfer a design usually works best.
